Diversity Health Center is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Billing Clerk to join our growing Revenue Cycle team. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical insurance billing, claims follow-up, payment posting, and working with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Responsibilities
- Submit and monitor insurance claims for timely reimbursement.
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, and rejected claims.
- Review explanation of benefits (EOBs) and resolve claim discrepancies.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed.
- Process claim corrections, appeals, and resubmissions.
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
- Communicate professionally with insurance representatives and patients regarding billing questions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and billing system.
- Assist with other revenue cycle duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of medical billing experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding is preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records and practice management software, EClinical Works preferred.
- Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
