We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist - Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB) to join our Residential Treatment Program team. This position provides specialized therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families impacted by problematic sexual behaviors within a trauma-informed treatment environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping youth develop healthy boundaries, improve emotional regulation, strengthen family relationships, and achieve meaningful behavioral change.
Position Summary
The Therapist - PSB provides clinical assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy services for children and adolescents experiencing problematic sexual behaviors. This role works collaboratively with multidisciplinary treatment teams, caregivers, referral sources, and community stakeholders to support treatment goals while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care, ethical practice, confidentiality, and documentation.

Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct clinical assessments and identify treatment needs related to problematic sexual behaviors.
- Develop and contribute to individualized treatment plans, including PSB-focused and family therapy interventions.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify interventions based on client progress and clinical needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and individualized care.
- Support treatment recommendations that promote safety, accountability, healthy relationships, and positive behavioral outcomes.
- Provide individual counseling services to youth and assigned clients.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions and maintain ongoing communication with caregivers.
- Lead therapeutic group sessions focused on:
- Healthy relationships
- Boundary setting
- Family dynamics
- Fantasy management
- Problem-solving skills
- Emotional regulation
- Plan and facilitate therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities that support treatment goals.
- Utilize trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with treatment team members regarding client progress and treatment recommendations.
- Train and educate Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) on effective approaches for working with youth exhibiting problematic sexual behaviors.
- Maintain communication with caregivers, referral sources, and other involved professionals.
- Present clinical information to referral sources, family members, and court representatives as requested.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Complete documentation in accordance with organizational, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to confidentiality standards and mandated reporting requirements.
- Participate in treatment planning meetings and interdisciplinary care coordination activities.
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Eligible for professional licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Experience providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and families.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed treatment approaches.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
- LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAPC, or other applicable Pennsylvania behavioral health licensure.
- Certification, training, or specialized experience in the treatment of adolescents with problematic or sexually inappropriate behaviors.
- Experience working in residential treatment, behavioral health, juvenile services, or child and adolescent mental health settings.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for youth who have engaged in or been impacted by problematic sexual behaviors.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to engage youth and families in meaningful therapeutic relationships.
- Effective individual, family, and group therapy facilitation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
