The Clinical Director is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of clinical programs, including supervision of staff, program development, and ensuring services meet best practice and regulatory standards. This role combines leadership, clinical supervision, and quality oversight to support both program success and client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision to BCBAs, Behavior Consultants, and program staff
- Review and approve clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
- Evaluate program effectiveness and develop strategic improvement plans
- Lead hiring, training, staff assignments, and performance management
- Conduct staff meetings and provide ongoing clinical and administrative guidance
- Ensure compliance with IBHS, state, and organizational standards
- Collaborate with billing and administrative teams to resolve service or billing issues
- Support families in navigating services and continuity of care
- Provide crisis support and consultation to staff as needed
- Oversee supervision logs, training plans, and staff development
- Report and manage incidents in accordance with policy
- Contribute to program development, proposals, and operational planning
Required:
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Minimum of 2 years post-degree experience in behavioral health
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong clinical, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience overseeing treatment planning and clinical documentation
- Experience in IBHS or community-based behavioral health programs
- Proven ability to manage teams and drive program performance
- Strong background in quality assurance and compliance
- Ability to obtain required PA clearances (Criminal Background, FBI, Child Abuse)
- Ability to pass required background and compliance screenings
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to balance administrative and clinical responsibilities
