Logistics Specialist Support
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, proactive Logistics Specialist Support to support our daily transportation operations, customer service, and carrier management. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between customers and carriers to ensure shipments run smoothly, accurately, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Carrier Management
- Support logistics planning by reviewing customer orders, contracts, and shipment details.
- Match customer loads with appropriate carriers based on capacity, equipment, and timing.
- Prepare and issue load confirmations and shipment documentation to carriers.
2. Customer Service & Account Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone and email, providing updates and resolving inquiries.
- Assist with rate quotes, pricing data collection, and sales reports.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update load tracking systems in real time.
3. Administrative & Financial Support
- Assist with billing processes by organizing documentation and auditing freight bills for accuracy.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 2 years of related logistics, freight, or customer service experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and logistics/database software.
- Strong 10-key and computer literacy skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting updates to managers, drivers, and clients.
- Soft Skills: Strong time management, detail orientation, and clear instruction-giving to ensure deadlines are met.
