Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently.
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you'll manage incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accurate inventory records,
proper packaging, and timely logistics. Key duties include inspecting shipments for damage, verifying invoices against purchase orders, operating warehouse equipment like forklifts, and updating inventory systems/Spreadsheets. This role requires strong organizational skills, physical stamina, and familiarity with tracking software and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
· Coordinates the shipping function and tracking of material movement.
· Prepare paperwork for shipping. Process shipping documentation (i.e. shipping labels, BOLs).
· Ensure that product is shipped most efficiently following documented processes, while targeting cost reduction freight savings, service and contractual agreements.
· Communicate with brokers, material handling
· staff and manufacturing personnel to ensure customers’ expectations are met.
· Prepare packages for UPS/FedEx shipment.
· Execute daily shipping schedule through the utilization of people, material, equipment and processes to meet customer requirements, meet compliance expectations and achieve cost objectives.
· Complete daily shipments for invoicing.
· Manage shipping and receiving appointments.
· Maintain and organize records, files and data.
· Respond to internal emails.
· Assist in resolving shipment issues, including: no show/late issues with carriers, freight not fitting on a trailer/overflows, missing freight, anticipate/proactively manage potential late shipments, swiftly resolve past due shipments.
· Other duties as assigned.
· JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
· Experience: Typically, 6 months to 2 years of warehouse or relevant experience.
· knowledge of stocking systems and stock control.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
· Knowledge and experience with operations and logistics processes.
· Possess a strong customer service orientation and provide dedicated support of internal customer requirements.
· Able to effectively communicate with various audiences, both on the phone and in person.
· Ability to follow specific instructions.
· Excellent communication and listening skills.
· Ability to comprehend and interpret standard work instructions or ISO procedures.
· High sense of urgency and problem-solving aptitude.
· Forklift experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
· While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to walk, stand, reach, sit and lift over a period of 8-10 hours per day.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
