What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Diversified Recruitment Services, LLC?
SUMMARY
Responsible for day-to-day support to plant staff in developing and maintaining quality objectives through continuous improvement and direct customer coordination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and lead in all APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities, including part warrants and related documents
- Coordinate all problem solving and improvement activities relating to customer concerns/issues
- Visit customers as necessary to resolve issues and coordinate continuous improvement
- Lead and train plant personnel in quality functions and discipline
- Coordinate all products assigned SPC (Statistical Process Control) aspects
- Coordinate process audit analysis with quality department technician and analyst
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined
- Must be flexible and able to travel to visit customer assembly plants, suppliers and other plants as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess strong communications skills and the ability to effectively interface with all levels of hourly and management both inside and outside of the plant.
- Strong technical skills
- Possess strong problem solving skills as well as statistical process control capability. Computer literate in applicable programs
- Demonstrate knowledge in quality tool
- Understand / worked in QS-9000 quality system. Individual may also be a TS16949 systems internal auditor and/or ASQ Certification Quality Engineer
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Four year (4) college degree or two (2) year degree and 2-5 years experience with a strong growth pattern in a manufacturing environment
- Possess a thorough grasp of manufacturing activities.
