Position Summary
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and supporting automation and control systems across the facility. This role combines process engineering, industrial engineering, and controls engineering to drive efficiency, quality, and cost improvements while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant layout and production processes using tools such as AutoCAD.
- Analyze manufacturing workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Establish labor standards using time studies or MOST analysis for current and future processes.
- Update labor routings and operation descriptions to reflect process improvements.
- Monitor production flow and recommend improvements to maximize throughput.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Perform cost analysis to evaluate feasibility of new products, equipment, and processes.
- Develop labor reduction plans and other operational improvement reports.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Recommend and implement productivity improvements across operations.
- Determine manpower requirements and optimize workforce utilization.
- Design and/or specify work fixtures and production tooling.
- Research, evaluate, and procure tools and equipment as needed.
- Lead or support facility modifications, expansions, and layout improvements.
- Analyze ergonomic risks and implement corrective solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- 3 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering role within manufacturing or automotive environments.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Hands-on role supporting manufacturing operations.
