Position Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of the quality system controlled by Disa Production. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain proper staffing levels of trained and cross-trained team members, ensuring ongoing training is conducted and documented.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement processes to enhance plant safety and increase profitability.
- Ensure all process cards and procedures are current, accurately reflect actual processes, and are consistently followed.
- Control scrap through prevention, investigation, and corrective actions as required.
- Initiate and follow up on Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for castings and processes as needed.
- Ensure proper sampling techniques are used for new and existing jobs, adhering to PPAP and CAT 700 Sample Submission procedures to minimize production impact by getting it right the first time.
- Collaborate with Safety and Engineering to identify workplace hazards.
- Follow up on all Disa Production operations, including initial accident investigations, process changes, and retraining of team members.
- Issue verbal warnings to team members for tornado or evacuation situations.
- Ensure iron meets established quality standards.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
