Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive MRO Buyer to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and coordination of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies and equipment. This role ensures critical equipment is purchased, delivered, and installed efficiently, supporting smooth plant operations and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of MRO supplies, spare parts, tools, and equipment in alignment with plant needs and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee equipment purchases, ensuring timely delivery, proper installation, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to define purchasing requirements and technical specifications.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure best pricing, availability, and service.
• Track and expedite open orders; resolve issues related to delayed deliveries or incorrect shipments.
• Evaluate vendor performance and maintain approved supplier lists.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate purchase order records and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of critical MRO items to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Collaborate with finance to reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of MRO materials and industrial equipment.
• Experience coordinating equipment delivery and installation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
