Unarmed Security Officer
Full Time and Part Time Shifts Available - Pay Rate: $23/hr.
The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for day-to-day security operations at client facilities. Officers serve as the primary contact point for clients, ensuring adherence to Post Orders and reporting violations of security policy or procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security support and guidance to clients and staff
- Ensure compliance with Post Orders and directives
- Monitor and report violations or suspicious activities, including:
- Access control procedures
- Credential/access ID usage
- Unauthorized presence in restricted areas
- Deviations from approved patrol routes
- Unauthorized photography, recording, or removal of assets
- Support internal security team operations (situational awareness, threat/risk monitoring)
- Assist with desk operations (watch operations)
- Prepare clear, concise written reports
Candidate Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen, 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid State Guard Card
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- 2 years of related experience (Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or similar)
- Customer/client engagement experience
- Preferred: experience in threat intelligence collection and reporting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to engage professionally with VIPs and special visitors
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk premises—including outdoor areas—and climb multiple flights of stairs during patrols
- Ability to lift, drag, and carry 50 pounds or more as needed for operational duties or emergencies
Technical Skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to create temporary badges for visitors and employees
Scheduling & Flexibility
- Must be flexible with 24–48-hour schedule changes due to weather or safety conditions
Customer Service Expectations
- Must be able to professionally engage with: Public visitors, Clients and special guests, Client employees, Fellow staff members
