Marine Carpenter

Job Summary
Diversified Marine (DMI) is looking to hire marine carpenters at their shipyard in Portland, Oregon. Marine Carpenters are responsible for installing the joiner package and finish work on new build vessels. Marine specific experience preferred but not required. General carpentry experience and attention to detail required.

Key Responsibilities

• Layout and installation of joiner package and trim pieces.
• Install insulated sheetmetal walls and suspended ceilings.
• Maintain a clean workspace and protect finished product.
• Work safely and deliver quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.
• Be a team player—able to work well with others to accomplish a common goal.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Carpentry experience – ability to measure and make precise cuts.
• Detail oriented and focused on delivering high quality work.
• Basic hand tools.
• Experience in an industrial environment and knowledge of safe work practices.
• Physical ability to complete the work including lifting up to 75lbs.
• Ability to work effectively with other members of team.
• Positive attitude and team player mentality.

What We Offer

• Starting at $24-28 / hr depending on experience.
• Benefits and PTO included after 3 months. 401k with matching after 12 months. Standard workweek is 50 hours per week.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
