Industrial Painter

Job Summary
Diversified Marine (DMI) is looking for industrial painters at their facility in Portland, Oregon. Painters prep surfaces and apply coatings to vessels in accordance with SSPC standards. Painters are responsible for properly coating hulls, decks, tanks and interior spaces on vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Work safely and deliver quality craftsmanship in a high-paced environment.
• Be a team player—able to work well with others to accomplish a common goal.
• Prep surfaces in accordance with SSPC standards.
• Ability to read technical specifications and document environmental conditions prior to application.
• Apply coatings in confined spaces, using airless paint pumps, brush and roll.
• Operate forklifts, boom / scissor lifts, air compressors, paint pumps.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience applying industrial coatings – spray, brush and roll.
• Ability to spray coatings at a consistent WFT.
• Familiarity with various coating products, SSPC standards.
• Experience in an industrial environment and knowledge of safe work practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to communicate issues to leadership.
• Physical ability to complete the work including lifting up to 75lbs.
• Positive attitude and team player mentality.

What We Offer

• Starting at $24-30 / hr depending on experience.
• Benefits and PTO included after 3 months. 401k with matching after 12 months. Standard workweek is 50 hours per week.
