Diversified Insurance, a top workplace in 2023 and 2024, and a leader in innovative insurance solutions, is seeking a Senior Benefits Account Manager to join our award-winning team. You will partner with the Benefits team to efficiently manage and direct clients with their new and renewal process. Your goal is to maintain and nurture new and existing client relationships with an analytical and partnership-oriented strategy.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple accounts, ensuring that a high level of customer retention and satisfaction is maintained.
- Engage with multiple customers on a daily basis by reaching out to new clients, and by developing campaigns for maintaining customer loyalty.
- Implement strategies for retaining customers requesting to terminate or downgrade their account.
- Manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned clients in partnership with the Benefits team.
- Marketing, analysis, and presentation for small group renewals.
- Record changes to customer accounts, updating service packages, adding accounts, and removing accounts as needed.
- Evaluate client challenges and deliver effective timely solutions that align with client goals and expectations.
- Understands employee benefits, including plan designs, available riders, cross-selling opportunities, legislation, compliance, emerging trends and stays proactive through self-educating.
- Participate in sales opportunities and promote the agency through networking, referrals, and client interactions.
- Contribute to team collaboration by offering support, sharing knowledge, and promoting a positive and productive environment.
- Attend and engage in external training sessions, carrier forums, compliance workshops, and vendor meetings to maintain knowledge and professional credentials.
- Use systems such as Epic, Zywave, JellyVision, and various HRIS platforms to support account management efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous insurance experience (Benefits).
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Professional designation preferred.
- EPIC/Applied experience preferred.
- Deadline and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Epic, Zywave, JellyVision, and other HRIS systems.
- Internet navigation and research; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
- Account Management: 5 years (Preferred)
- Benefits: 5 years (Preferred)
License:
- Valid Maryland Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License (Required)

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
