Position Summary
The Territory Manager will develop and grow business opportunities in the California region by building trusted relationships, conducting onsite evaluations, and delivering OSHA-compliant solutions. This role combines technical expertise, consultative sales, and a passion for safety to protect workers at height and strengthen DFP’s presence in the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize key customer Fall Protection opportunities in the assigned market.
- Oversee all aspects of your territory’s business—strategy, pipeline, partnerships, and customer experience
- Achieve territory sales goals by developing business within the assigned territory and working with your business unit to deliver customer solutions.
- Perform onsite needs evaluations, product usage training, and consultations.
- Actively participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, comply with professional and quality standards, comply with corporate policies and procedures, and act consistently with Diversified Fall Protection’s core values and ethical standards.
- Work remotely and have a proven record of being self-motivated and able to hold themselves accountable for time and territory management. This is a field-based position with a 50% travel requirement.
- Drive Diversified Fall Protection’s brand message within the territory by networking with local and regional trade and industry groups.
- Manage Fall Protection penetration within key end-users, development, and growth of new sales channels.
- Become a predominant Fall Protection subject matter expert in the territory through continuous learning and study.
- Document required activities and sales information in the CRM application.
- Work internally with a cross functional team to support end users and drive sales in your territory.

Required Qualifications
- Reside in Southern California preferably in the Santa Clarita area
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in fall protection, safety, construction or technical sales
- Experience selling safety solutions, PPE, or other complex systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including strong public speaking ability.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Teams, and related tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher.
- Proven success in developing new markets and building sales channels/partners.
- Safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, QSSP, OSHA 30/510/500/501/511, or similar.
- Experience selling capital equipment or safety solutions to industrial/construction markets.
- Familiarity with additional technology platforms such as PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Google Earth.

Physical Requirements
This position requires both field and office-based work. In the field, employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights while adhering to safety standards and wearing required PPE such as hard hats, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility gear. The role also involves exposure to construction environments with noise, dust, heat, and cold. In the office, employees must be able to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers for typing and handling office equipment, and rely on vision to read documents and computer screens. Clear communication in person, over the phone, and through video conferencing is essential.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time salary exempt position with a typical Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., following a standard 40-hour workweek with flexibility to adjust hours as needed based on customer and business requirements. The role combines home office responsibilities with regular travel to customer locations and project sites.
