Position Summary
The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, high-visibility construction projects for strategic and national clients. This role drives execution excellence through disciplined project management, proactive stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight. The ideal candidate brings deep construction industry expertise, strong leadership capability, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of complex construction projects for strategic and national clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong client partnerships to deliver exceptional customer experience and expand long-term business opportunities.
- Strategic Execution: Implement structured project delivery strategies that optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, internal departments, and external partners to ensure project success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Field Operations to meet scope, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks early and implement mitigation plans to protect budget, schedule, and quality commitments.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor cost performance, maintain accurate revenue projections, and coordinate invoicing with Finance.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators and leverage data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and field teams, reinforcing accountability and high-performance standards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 7 years of project management experience within the construction industry
- Proven track record managing large-scale construction projects
- Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Field construction means and methods experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI fall protection standards
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Advanced experience in financial oversight, budgeting, and revenue tracking
- Experience mentoring and leading project teams in a cross-functional environment
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and optimize project execution
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Customer service-focused mindset with proven client relationship management experience

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods in warehouse settings.
- This position may require employees to sit at a computer station/desk for prolonged periods of time up to 8 hours a day. The employee is regularly required to read, count and write to accurately complete documentation required for the position. Employees must be able to use their hands and fingers to operate keyboard and phone and to file and operate office equipment. This position may require some walking, bending, reaching and standing.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch as scheduled with management. This position may require hours beyond the standard working hours listed above to satisfy job duties and department demand.
