Position Summary
This position supports and leads efficient flow of materials throughout the facility by receiving, organizing, transporting, and staging raw materials, parts, and finished products. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory, supporting production needs, and ensuring a safe and organized yard and warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Daily Shipping Operations: Directs order picking, packing, verification, staging, and scheduling to ensure all shipments are accurate, properly documented, and shipped on time. Oversees packaging standards, pallet preparation, load security, equipment operation, and housekeeping expectations.
- Inventory Oversight & Coordination: Maintains ownership of finished goods and hardware inventory within the shipping area. Reconciles discrepancies and collaborates closely with Production, Purchasing, and Receiving to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Documentation, Systems & Compliance: Reviews, approves, and ensures accuracy of all shipping documents—BOLs, labels, packing lists, photos, and system transactions. Ensures compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and carrier guidelines while maintaining organized records.
- Team Leadership & Training: Assigns daily tasks, monitors performance, and reinforces safety, quality, and workflow standards. Trains and mentors team members in inventory control, equipment operation, documentation accuracy, and efficient material handling.
- Resolves shipping issues, aligns priorities, identifies process gaps and leads or supports improvements that strengthen accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal
training in related field preferred.
- Two years of experience in materials control field required

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing up to 8 hours. Some days could require prolonged sitting at a desk and computer station. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times.
Work Environment
This role will take place primarily on the warehouse floor with frequent work being performed outdoors in various conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Constant awareness of surroundings and safety is required.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7
am to 3:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime may be required based on workload or
project deadlines and occasional weekend availability may be requested with advance
notice.
