Position Summary
The Fall Protection Specialist will develop and grow business opportunities in the Northeast region by building trusted relationships, conducting onsite evaluations, and delivering OSHA-compliant solutions. This role combines technical expertise, consultative sales, and a passion for safety to protect workers at height and strengthen DFP’s presence in the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve territory sales goals by identifying and developing customer opportunities.
- Conduct onsite evaluations, product training, and safety consultations.
- Represent DFP through networking with industry and trade associations.
- Build and manage relationships with end-users, architects, and channel partners.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new engineered systems, inspections, and training.
- Maintain visibility across all territory activities to uphold DFP’s brand and service standards.
- Deliver AIA presentations and technical solutions to industry professionals.
- Document sales activities in CRM and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, seamless customer-focused solutions and experiences.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in fall protection through continuous learning.
- Travel up to 50% across the assigned region.

Required Qualifications
- Reside in territory, (PA or NY preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher preferred).
- 2 years of experience in fall protection, safety, or technical sales
- Experience selling safety solutions, PPE, or other complex systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including strong public speaking ability.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Teams, and related tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success in developing new markets and building sales channels/partners.
- Safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, QSSP, OSHA 30/510/500/501/511, or similar.
- Experience selling capital equipment or safety solutions to industrial/construction markets.
- Familiarity with additional technology platforms such as PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Google Earth.

Physical Requirements
This position requires both field and office-based work. In the field, employees must be able to lift to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights while adhering to safety standards and wearing required PPE such as hard hats, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility gear. The role also involves exposure to construction environments with noise, dust, heat, and cold. In the office, employees must be able to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers for typing and handling office equipment, and rely on vision to read documents and computer screens. Clear communication in person, over the phone, and through video conferencing is essential.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with flexibility to adjust hours as needed based on customer and business requirements. The role combines home office responsibilities with regular travel to customer locations and project sites.
