Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior management strategies and support their growth and development within a clinic environment. This role requires a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Provide direct support to clients, promoting positive behavioral changes.
- Collect program data to monitor client progress.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote skill development and social interaction.
- Provide training and support to families regarding behavior management strategies.
- light lifting required for child care activities.
Requirements
- Experience or education in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and working with children with developmental disabilities is essential.
- Familiarity with collection methods and documentation practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and team members.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
