Title: "Manual Machinist”
Location: New Berlin, WI | On-Site
Type: Contract
- Operate a variety of manual machines to produce precision parts from blueprint
- Experience on vertical and horizontal machining centers or boring bars, vertical/ horizontal boring mills, and vertical/ conventional lathes.
- Setup and fixture jobs start to finish
- Determine proper tools necessary for each job
- Run jobs to meet delivery requirements
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.
- Minimum 10 years previous experience in manual machining
- Experience cutting big parts, up to 96 inches ID/OD.
- Capable of reading blueprints and some GD&T
- Able to read precision measuring instruments such as vernier, calipers, micrometers, etc.
