About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Leader to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive training and development program for our Field Operations team (Project Managers & Controls Technicians, systems specialists). This individual will play a crucial role in onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and process standardization, ensuring our teams are equipped to deliver excellence at scale. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic design with practical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve onboarding programs for all Field Operations roles.
  • Develop technical training, SOPs, assessments, and playbooks to standardize best practices across job sites.
  • Create and roll out leadership development programs to build our next generation of operations leaders.
  • Lead in-person and virtual training sessions; coordinate field-based and on-site instruction with SMEs and team members.
  • Build and manage a centralized training library (manuals, process guides, videos, SOPs, LMS content).
  • Establish scalable systems to track training completion, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Partner closely with Operations leadership to align training programs with company goals, project standards, and industry best practices.
  • Delegate field and travel-based training delivery while maintaining content consistency and instructional quality.
  • Conduct regular needs assessments to identify and address skill gaps.
  • Track and report on key training KPIs, such as: Time-to-productivity for new hires, Adoption of standardized procedures, Reduction in project escalations due to training gaps, Improved retention and engagement within Field Ops
  • Collaborate with HR/Talent and other departments to ensure alignment across the full employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years in Learning & Development, training, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Experience in construction, controls, data centers, or adjacent technical/field-based industries strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in building training programs from the ground up—strategic and hands-on.
  • Expertise in curriculum design, adult learning theory, and instructional best practices.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and documentation systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a small team.
  • Exceptional communicator and facilitator; able to connect across roles and seniority levels.
  • Based in Irving, TX or willing to relocate; occasional travel to job sites expected
