DESCRIPTION
Are you a skilled technician with experience in the assembly and testing of complex products? DITEK is seeking a Solder Technician to join our dynamic team and support our manufacturing processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Manufacturing & Quality functions by assembling, soldering, and testing products per the approved processes and procedures.
- Build products as required.
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
- Communicate effectively with other work stations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Rotate through multiple stations to ensure maximum efficiencies and preparation.
- Must be versatile and can operate machines on the line.
- Excellent understanding of IPC standards, component I.D. and ESD practices.
- Capable of training Assembler 1, II, and III employees.
- Set-up, perform detailed and complex assemblies, fine pitch SMT/BGA soldering, rework, and test per production schedule.
- Build Engineering prototype and new design concept products as required.
- Support Engineering on DFM on new designs for solder ability.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the manufacturing and rework of Printed Circuit Assemblies and their associated processes preferred for complex assemblies.
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is required.
- IPC class 2 & 3 standard workmanship, fine pitch SMT soldering, and rework of complex components and assemblies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to understand verbal and written communications in English.
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions in English.
- Communicate effectively in English.
- Experienced in improving processes, performance, and troubleshooting assembly problems.
- Ability to reason thru process development and support of new technologies.
- Computer skills required.
- Demonstrate good hand and eye coordination.
- Must be able to differentiate colors.
- Assemble components to specifications.
- Familiarity of tools, devices, equipment, and calibrated equipment.
- Proficient in IPC class 2 & 3 standard workmanship.
- Attention to detail with minimal supervision.
- Experience in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform all functions of the job classification without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
