What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACILITY SUPPORT position at DITEK CORPORATION?
Facility Support works to create a clean, orderly and safe working environment by performing a wide variety of cleaning and maintenance activities inside and outside the building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs basic cleaning in and around the building.
- Properly sanitizes areas.
- Cleans floors and rooms, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, picking up larger objects off the floor, and cleaning glass and windows.
- Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
- Cleans and maintain the breakroom.
- Cleans the refrigerator and restocks all utensils.
- Empties trash and replaces liners throughout the building.
- Stocks and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
- Mops, cleans, waxes, and maintains all floors.
- Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Reports any facility malfunctions or issues.
- Follows all health and safety regulations.
- Performs additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of relevant cleaning/maintenance experience.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license or have reliable transportation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery including floor scrubber and buffer.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Integrity and ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform all functions of the job classification without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
