Experienced Parts and Service Advisor
Ditch Witch Southwest in Lubbock, Texas has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated, customer oriented and experienced Parts and Service Advisor. This role is directly responsible for selling parts to all customers, over the counter, through the service department and over the phone sales, all the while providing knowledgeable advising on every guest's parts needs.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, possibility of after-hours and being on-call one weekend a month for parts/service.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists all customers (retail and service shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Provides high level of service to internal and external guests.
- Ensures most purchased and needed parts are in stock, fills orders & helps manage inventory.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits fast paced orders efficiently.
- Notifies the service advisor or customer when specially ordered parts have been received.
- Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
- Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
- Participates in all training programs that are made available.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Able to run the Parts Department when the Parts Manager is out of pocket/out of office.
- An alternate Service Department liaison alongside the Parts Manager when the Service Manager is unavailable.
Requirements

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Two years of relative work experience (preferably with equipment parts or a dealership)
- Ability to interpret vendor catalogs
- Ability to use parts department computer system and calculator
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Two years related experience in a dealership parts department (preferred*)
- Valid driver’s license and must be insurable, CDL is a plus.
Compensation
This is a full-time role that will have an hourly or base salary based on experience. This role would include a commission structure on top of base pay.
