SERVICE ADVISOR
An industry leader in sales and service of underground utility and construction equipment, serving the Carolinas since 1974 with headquarters in Charlotte, NC and three full-service branches in South Carolina..
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is the link between the customer and the service department. Manages the service desk ensuring customers and visitors are greeted promptly and assisted in a timely & professional manner, phones are answered & calls returned as soon as possible.
Reviews quotes making corrections as needed; recommends preventive maintenance, service work, parts & accessories necessary for the safe and optimal operation of customer’s equipment
Contacts customers for approvals & deposits
Reviews customer & internal work- in-process with Techs providing timely updates to the customer as applicable
Manages the paperwork flow for customer repairs, warranty and internal work (“preps”) while ensuring a high level of accuracy
Assists at the parts counter and in the warehouse as needed .
Proactively engages in safety awareness and safety practices, reports potential safety hazards
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or similar position in a dealership service department
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and explain technical issues clearly to customers and staff
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail
- 3-year driving record determined insurable by our insurance carrier
- Basic MS Word, Email & CRM proficiency
