Purpose:
The Service Manager will lead the Service Department with a focus on maximizing efficiency, driving revenue, and fostering a customer-centric environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the department operates smoothly and that team members are developed to their fullest potential. Through effective leadership and team management, the Service Manager will ensure customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding financial targets. The Service Manager will collaborate with other departments to meet the needs of customers and sell company parts, labor, and service solutions.
Essential Functions:
· Leadership and Team Development:
- Training and instructing Service Technicians and all Service employees.
- Conducting regular department meetings to ensure alignment and development.
- Encouraging safe and productive work habits.
· Employee Performance Management:
- Overseeing assignments and ensuring work quality to meet customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring and managing service charges and labor productivity.
· Customer Service Excellence:
- Coordinating service activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Acting as a liaison between the customer and the Service Department.
· Financial Oversight and Revenue/Profit Management:
- Ensuring profitability in service charges and controlling expenses.
- Managing warranty work and internal charges effectively.
· Operational Efficiency:
- Scheduling and overseeing service work for productivity.
- Controlling non-productive time and ensuring efficient use of resources.
· Safety Compliance:
- Promoting and directing safe work practices among technicians.
· Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
· Coordinating with other departments to align service operations with overall business needs.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Identify and implement improvements in processes to reduce waste and inefficiency.
- Participate in company events, training sessions, and community outreach activities as needed to support business growth and brand presence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a related field, with a strong background in mechanical systems and supervisory experience. Experience in service management or a similar customer-focused role is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Customer Service Orientation:
- Strong customer focus with a demonstrated ability to anticipate and meet customer needs, providing excellent service while managing customer relationships.
- Financial Acumen:
- Understanding of financial goals, including the ability to manage revenue, budgets, and profitability targets.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Windows programs and experience in using inventory management software.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform basic physical tasks as needed. Comfortable working in an environment that is primarily indoors but may require occasional outdoor inspections of vehicles.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
