TECH ASSISTANT
Follows 2026-2027 School Calendar
$15.85 per hour
4 hrs/per day
0.5 FTE
(Final schedule will be established by the Technology Supervisor, based on district and/or building needs.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma and excellent command of the English Language
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude/basic knowledge of computer operation
- Experience using Microsoft software, e-mail, and accessing the Internet
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds and move equipment, ability to climb and work on ladders

JOB GOAL: To support level 1 technology for students and staff.
SALARY: $15.85 per hour
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:
- *Assists in providing basic technical support.
- *Performs 1st level desktop, laptop, projectors, interactive white boards, peripheral devices, voice systems, and handheld computer hardware/software troubleshooting as directed.
- *Performs technical equipment setup as necessary.
- Tracks and resolves technology tickets.
- *Attends monthly technology meeting.
- Maintains building technology inventory.
- Assists the Building Technician with the installation/moves/changes of building Technology resources
- Performs other duties as assigned.
