What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Personal Care Aide position at Districtwide?
Scope of Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist students with on-task behavior and completion of teacher assigned tasks
- Assist students with questions regarding assignments
- Accompany/escort students in exploratory classes and therapy sessions as needed
- Supervise independent or small group work
- Assist in necessary record keeping including data collection (ie. Applied Behavior Analysis)
- Assist in preparation of instructional materials and supplies and clean up
- Administer alternative testing accommodations when needed
- Proctor exams
- Escort students to various parts of the building
- Assist with student arrival and departure
- Attend to students physical needs including, toileting, lifting for transfers to/from wheelchair
- Attend to students medical needs under direction of school nurse
- Monitor and implement behavior intervention plans
- Accompany students and participate in all physical activities including APE and Swimming
- Follow directions of classroom teacher, therapists or other professional staff
- Will complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
