General Responsibilities:
To provide effective instruction aligned to K-5 DLCS Curriculum Frameworks and to work collaboratively for the purposes of enhancing and improving DLCS curriculum implementation.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering instruction aligned to Digital Learning Computer Science Curriculum Frameworks
- Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects to communicate these objectives to students.
- Works with all students grades K-5
- Regularly assess student learning through both formative and summative assessments
- Maintains classroom environment conducive to learning
- Will take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, and materials within the instructional technology classroom
- Works collaboratively with colleagues
- Assist in the testing of software and hardware in educational environments
- Enhance collaborative approaches that support new instructional methodologies
- Assist in the development and implementation of district curricula
- Enrich educational practices and programs
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Valid MA DESE licensure in either: Instructional Technology, All levels, or Digital Literacy/Computer Science, Prek-6
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess a high level of capability with technology
- Well-developed understanding of the subject matter and the pedagogy required to effectively teach the content area
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to reflect on personal learning through the analysis of one’s teaching practice, student learning data, and the teaching practices of others
- Ability to collaborate with all faculty & staff
