What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time District Maintenance Mechanic position at Districtwide?
(1) Full-Time District Maintenance Mechanic: full-time, 12 months, 7.5 hrs/day, starting as soon as possible
The interested candidate must have experience in all aspects of building maintenance, including but not limited to, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and snow plowing. Preference will be given to those with HVAC and electrical experience as well as to those candidates who have experience working in a school district. Candidates must be willing to work overtime as needed and be willing to achieve their wastewater license. The successful candidate must work well independently as well as in a team environment and should be able to troubleshoot issues quickly, as well as understand what needs to be done to ensure that district operations run smoothly.
Starting hourly rate after probationary period is $29.75/hour.
Hours: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (with a half hour unpaid lunch) - plus overtime as needed
This is a support staff contracted position and receives all benefits as per the collective bargaining agreement.
Palisades requires a pre-employment drug test as a condition of employment.
