QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in area of responsibility.

- Current, valid Michigan Teacher Certification with special education in early childhood (ZS/ZA endorsement)
- Ability to work well with students, staff and parents in a collaborative fashion.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary: Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement

JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW:
Full-time Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classroom teacher (Rule 340.1755) within Rochester Community Schools Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) classrooms. This teacher position is part of a team of teachers and providers who coordinate educational services for students eligible for special education through implementation of the High Scope Curriculum and in accordance with the GSRP guidelines.
Additional duties include:
- Teaching whole group or small group lessons, teaming with staff, monitoring and implementing IEP goals within daily routines in the classroom setting.
- Team collaboration and consultation with
GSRP teacher, associate teacher and special education ancillary staff.
- Supporting assessment and evaluation findings through data collection and tracking.

Coordinating or providing modification and accommodation of curricular material as needed.
- Completing data collection activities, training, and reporting as directed through the Oakland Schools and the Michigan Department of Education.
