What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Principal - PWR Elementary 26/27 SY (INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY) position at Districtwide?
- Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
- Assist the principal in the general administration of the school and assume the role and responsibility for the principal in his/her absence as assigned.
- Assist in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deal with special cases as necessary.
- Direct and supervise the athletic program. This includes transportation, officials, eligibility lists, finances, crowd control, and paperwork.
- Administer school rules regarding attendance.
- Assist in the selection of school personnel.
- Assist in the evaluation of classified and certified staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Establish goals and objectives bases on analysis of student achievement data.
- Help with curriculum alignment, instructional strategies and implementation.
- Assist in the master schedule for students.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of a master’s degree in an educational area.
- State of Arizona administrative certification.
- A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
- Valid IVP Fingerprint clearance card
- Specific administrative experience through internship and/or previous employment.
- No convictions for felonies or crimes against children
