What are the responsibilities and job description for the 7320 Instructional Assistant I (ML) - DW position at Districtwide?
BASIC FUNCTION: Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitors and report student progress. Will be helping students (primarily in an elementary setting) who are acquiring English as a Second Language however this position is considered districtwide and multiple school settings may be required.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Instructional Assistant I incumbents assist a certificated teacher by performing a variety of support functions in a regular classroom setting.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age and supply proof of: A high school diploma and passed the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment OR completion of a minimum of 48 semester hours of study at an institution of higher education OR an associate (or higher) degree.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Also requires a physical exam, TB risk assessment, CAN check, a state/national criminal background check and Drug screen. This position is 181 days; 7.5 hours per day. 2026-27 school year
