The Pocono Mountain School District wishes to inform you of the following posted vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year:

• K-6 Instructional Coach

 Job Description 

The Instructional Coach helps ensure that research based best practices are implemented consistently across grade levels and within departments. This position routinely analyzes various forms of student data and works with administration to prescribe appropriate instructional practices. The instructional coach provides support and/or professional development for staff as is appropriate. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Master’s Degree Preferred
• Level II Pennsylvania Instructional certificate 
• Minimum of five (5) years of satisfactory classroom experience
• Demonstrates deep knowledge of the relevant content areas
• Demonstrates knowledge and use of a rich array of instructional approaches, resources, and technologies relevant to content area(s)
• Interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills required to effectively facilitate coaching and staff development
• Knowledge and skills to implement a standards-based education system and familiarity with one or more of the following: MTSS, STEELS standards, Structured Literacy, PA Core Math standards
• Knowledge of equity issues in current education reform

Candidates must hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in the appropriate area. The selected candidate will provide evidence of a strong academic record, excellent educational references and related experience, be able to demonstrate knowledge of current educational research, and successfully complete a series of interviews along with meeting all local requirements.

PMSD SUBSTITUTES MUST COMPLETE THE FULL APPLICATION

The successful candidate will be required to provide the following documents: Act 34 PSP Criminal Record Check, Act 114 FBI Criminal History Check, Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, and the Act 24/82 PDE 6004 form.
