Title I Elementary District Content Specialist – Math

Primary Purpose

To ensure high-quality instruction and increased student achievement by working collaboratively with teachers, instructional leaders, and district staff to strengthen curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and data-informed instruction. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications
 

Education/Certification/Licensure
Master’s degree in educational administration or content area preferred

Valid Texas teaching certificate required

State Appraisal System training certification preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills
Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies

Proficient in the use and analysis of data management systems

Skilled in evaluating instructional programs and assessing teaching effectiveness

Capable of coordinating, monitoring, and enhancing campus support

Experienced in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and data-driven insights

Proven track record of success as an instructional leader

Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a classroom teacher

Instructional Leadership experience

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties
 
1.       Lead teachers through structured curriculum planning and implementation processes to support deep understanding and effective use of high-quality instructional materials.
2.       Lead the instructional design process using district curriculum documents, pacing guidance, and existing assessment data.
3.       Model effective, research-based instructional strategies and best teaching practices in classrooms and professional learning settings.
4.       Support the development, revision, and implementation of district curriculum and aligned assessments based on local, state, and national standards.
5.       Support effective teacher implementation of instructional concepts and content.
6.       Promote high expectations for teaching and learning; recognize and celebrate excellence and improvement.
7.       Serve as a district liaison for assessment and academic intervention.
8.       Identify and apply research-based instructional practices and interventions grounded in data analysis.
9.       Monitor instructional processes to ensure alignment between programs and outcomes.
10.    Create, support, and analyze common formative assessments to monitor student learning and instructional effectiveness.
11.    Prepare and present required reports and documentation.
12.    Collaborate with campus instructional specialists and campus administrators to analyze performance data and identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
13.    Design, facilitate, and deliver high-quality, job-embedded district professional development aligned with district curriculum, instructional priorities, and assessment practices.
14.    Remain current in instructional pedagogy and curriculum design by engaging in professional learning, reviewing current research, and modeling lifelong learning.
15.    Collaborate with district and campus personnel to maintain and strengthen instructional programs
16.    Assist with calendaring and coordination of instructional planning cycles, assessment windows, and related professional learning.
17.    Collaborate closely with district Curriculum Coordinators to ensure alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and to support coherent implementation of district priorities across campuses.
18.    Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, board policy, and district procedures.
19.    Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

20.    Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

21.    Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.

22.    Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.

23.    Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.

24.    Demonstrate proficient levels of technology applications.

25.    Participate fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.

26.    Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.

27.    Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.

28.    Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.

29.    Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.

30.    Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.

31.    Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).

32.    Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
