Summer Tutor – Migrant Education Program
Are you a passionate educator looking to make a difference this summer? We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Summer Tutor to support migrant students in building their reading and math skills through engaging summer learning projects!
Position Details:
- Job Title: Summer Tutor
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5 hours per day
- Duration: One week starting on Jun 16, 2025
- Subjects: Reading & Math
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to student needs.
- Work with students in grades K-12 on summer learning projects that integrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) elements, reinforcing reading and math concepts.
- Tutor both grade-level groups during the week:
- Incoming K-5 students (part of the week)
- Incoming 6-12 students (part of the week)
- Provide effective instruction focused on strengthening foundational skills and preventing summer learning loss.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and learning strategies.
