What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute - School Nurse position at District Wide?
OPEN POSITION: SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSES (RN or LPN required)
PAY RATE: $19.00/hour
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Through job assignments, serves as Nurse in the absence of the regular school Nurse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Missouri preferred, not required. (LPN minimum requirement)
- Physical strength sufficient to perform full range of required pupil care activities.
- Physical abilities sufficient to move from place to place and to maneuver as required performing nursing activities.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence consistent with the duties of this position.
- Moves freely from building to building to serve the needs of the district and its students by caring for the sick and injured in accordance with school policy and the accepted standards of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
- Relates to students, parents and co-workers through effective communication.
- Follows the directions of the absent School Nurse.
