What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute School Nurse position at District Wide?
PAY RATE: $155/per day
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assess and evaluate the health and development status of students.
- Promote and maintain health and well-being of students and school personnel through counseling and direct care, as necessary.
- Support individual health plans for the care of students with chronic health conditions, disabilities and those needing treatment or medications.
- Collect and maintain confidential records within professional and legal boundaries and District guidelines.
- Skill and experience supporting students with variety of self-care, mental health and developmental needs in the Kindergarten through Grade 5 span.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Maine School Nurse Certification, or ability to obtain.
- Valid Maine Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Completed a minimum of three years' experience as a nurse.
- Matriculated into a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university; or hold a Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- Maine State Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) approval
