OPEN POSITION: SPECIAL EDUCATION BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST
START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position will assist in supporting students PreK-12 with behavioral and emotional concerns. The Special Education Behavior Specialist will oversee specialized programming, conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), write Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and assist teachers with classroom management strategies. The role requires close collaboration with the Student Services Director and building administration to ensure the successful implementation of behavioral support systems.
BCBA-certified individuals are eligible to apply for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree in Education, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field is required.
- BCBA Certification is desirable, but not required.
- At least three years of successful experience working with students utilizing behavioral regulation strategies.
- Experience leading professional development and working collaboratively in a team setting.
- Valid Missouri Educator Certification is not required for this position.
