What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist position at District-Wide?
The Saucon Valley School District is seeking applicants for a School Psychologist for the 2026-27 school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid PA certification in School Psychology required.
- Master's degree required.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred, not required.
- Bilingual preferred, not required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completion of school-age evaluations, reevaluations, gifted evaluations, etc.
- Consult with teachers to educate them on various disabilities and provide strategies on how to work with them in the classroom.
- Collaborate with school teams regarding appropriate interventions for students and be part of the threat assessment team.
- Maintain compliance for all evaluations and reevaluations.
- Collaborate with school based teams and parents to determine the need for an evaluation.
- Complete evaluations and reevaluations for out of district students, non-public school students, and students transitioning into the district.
- Evaluate student abilities, identify behaviors that need modification and determine the environmental triggers causing them
- Create and update highly individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
- Provide direct oversight, training and ongoing feedback to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who implement day to day programs.
- Provide training on behavior strategies so that skills and consistent practices can be applied across all settings.
