POSITION: Public Relation Coordinator
DEPARTMENT:

Evaluation: In accordance with the Board of Education policy
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, experience in Public Relation experience preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Effective technology skills
- Interpersonal skills
Job Goal: To create and maintain the organization’s image and identity. Then craft media releases and develop social media programs to inform the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Board meeting coverage and submission to local newspaper and other news releases per the superintendent.
- Provide board doc training, as needed, for school board members.
- Along with superintendent, business manager, and human resources director prepare board agenda.
- Along with superintendent update Todd County School District policies.
- Along with superintendent update Student & Family Handbook.
- Provide photographs and prepare layout for the Dreamcatcher to go out to the public 4-5 times a year.
- Gather stories from building principals for the Dreamcatcher.
- Work with local radio stations to provide PSAs related to school matters.
- Update photos on the district webpage monthly with equal representation.
- Work with IT Technology Coordinator Assistant to maintain webpage landing page.
- Provide training for department directors so they can maintain their pages.
- Coverage of school programs.
- Along with superintendent work on calendars.
- Prepare graduation programs.
- Track years of service for staff recognition and coordinate event.
- Design and update district brochure and other information for career fairs.
- Order staff recognition award throughout the year.
