What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Food Service Helper/Floater position at District- Wide?
To support the preparation, serving, and accounting of nutritious, eye appealing foods for students, teachers and other support personnel in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.
This position does not have a designated position or location. They will be assigned to a school or position as needed to replace staff who are absent.
Responsibilities:
* Help prepare and serve hot and/or cold foods.
* Clean up preparation, serving area and equipment used during the day's work.
* Fill and break-down serving line.
* Assist with daily clean-up of pots, pans, utensils, counters, serving area, etc.
* Have working knowledge of safe operation of all equipment including ovens, steamtable, warmers, etc.
* Be able to lift milk cases into cooler (approximately 30 pounds).
* Cashier at serving times.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager or the Supervisor of Food Service.
Qualifications:
* High School graduate or equivalent.
* No experience is necessary, but previous food service experience preferred.
* Cashier experience is preferred.
* Ability and personality to be able to deal with students, teachers other support personnel and the public.
* Physical capacity to perform all assigned duties.
Hours: 10 months, 7.5 hours per day not including a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch
Salary: $15.50 per hour
