ESY Speech and Language Pathologist – (District-Wide) (4)

Waltham Public Schools is seeking dynamic Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) for our ESY program to support students with diverse communication needs across all program strands. This role is designed for students who require continued speech and language services to maintain communication skills, prevent regression in expressive and receptive language, and ensure access to their educational environment. Applicants must hold a valid license as a Speech and Language Pathologist from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and small-group speech and language therapy sessions as mandated by student IEPs. SLPs will review student records to ensure that communication goals are addressed with fidelity, while maintaining accurate service logs and progress data. In addition to direct therapy, the SLP will collaborate with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals to integrate communication supports into daily routines, consult on AAC device usage, and maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress. The position concludes with the drafting of participation summary reports detailing communication outcomes for each student on the caseload.
