What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consolidation Logistics Coordinator position at District-Wide?
Position Summary
The Consolidation Logistics Coordinator will oversee and manage all aspects of planning, packing, moving, and unpacking materials, equipment, and supplies from the Intermediate School into designated spaces at the Elementary School (grades 3–5) and the High School (grade 6). This role will also work closely with the CFO/COO to make sure all construction timelines are met. This role requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff across multiple schools as well as partners in the community.
The coordinator will develop and implement a comprehensive logistics plan, ensuring the move is completed on schedule, with work beginning November 15, 2025 and fully completed by June 19, 2026.
Compensation
This is an hourly position. Hiring range is $40-50 per hour. Work times will be varied, including daytime and evening meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning & Timeline Management
- Develop a detailed timeline for planning, communication, packing, moving, and unpacking activities.
- Adjust and refine the plan as needed to address building schedules, school activities, and unforeseen challenges.
- Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate closely with the CFO/COO and district Owner’s Representative on all construction timelines.
- Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the central point of contact for principals, the maintenance director, and district leadership regarding all logistics.
- Develop and distribute a communication plan for staff outlining expectations, timelines, and procedures.
- Provide regular updates to the CFO/COO and other stakeholders, including staff and parents.
- Attend regular meetings of the Consolidation Committee as well as other district leadership teams.
- Logistics & Execution
- Coordinate the identification, labeling and organization of items for packing by room, grade, and/or program.
- Coordinate packing supplies, moving equipment, and storage solutions.
- Oversee packing efforts by staff and coordinate with maintenance/custodial teams for transport.
- Manage delivery and unpacking of materials at the Elementary and High School sites, ensuring items are placed appropriately for instructional use.
- Problem-Solving & Flexibility
- Anticipate and address challenges that may arise during the packing or moving process.
- Provide flexible solutions that minimize disruption to instructional time and staff workload.
- Documentation & Tracking
- Maintain records of timelines, assignments, and completed tasks.
- Track the location of key equipment and instructional materials to ensure nothing is misplaced.
