SALARY: $35.39 - $37.02
$38.70-40.32- AA degree or higher

NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary role in translating district correspondence and community communication materials.
- Provides simultaneous oral interpretations for district and/or school hearings, meetings, special events and activities.
- Works in collaboration with others.
- Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.
- Distribute documents and materials to appropriate staff, students and/or parents.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Interpreter Certification in Spanish language, required.
- Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual and Biliterate (Spanish), required.
- Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Skilled in advanced language proficiency.
- Knowledge of the ethics of interpreting or translating.
