2026-2027 Resident Teacher (Lamar students only)

Education:          Must be currently enrolled at Lamar University and in the final year of a state-approved educator

                            preparation program working toward Texas State Board of Educator Certification.

Experience:         Must meet all university pre-requisite requirements for teacher residency.

                            Must have knowledge of the general needs of children at all grade levels, and the

                            ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and parents.

Special Knowledge:                                                                                                                       

1. Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
2. General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
3. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
4. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
