What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Attendant FT position at District Wide Location?
Bus Attendant/Warehouse FT 30 Hours
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate, GED and/or equivalent work experience.

Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License

Successful driving record for the past three years with no DUI convictions.

Ability to maintain appropriate interpersonal relations with students, parents and others of the district.

Ability to pass an annual drug test and additional drug tests as appropriate.

Such alternatives to the above as the administration finds appropriate.

Bi-lingual preferred, but not required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers first aid for the purpose of providing immediate emergency care.

Assists bus drivers as may be required by supporting them in the completion of
their work activities.

Monitors students on and/or around the buses for the purpose of providing for the safety and welfare of students.

Secures students and/or equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, etc.) with restraints and/or tie downs for the purpose of ensuring the safety and welfare of students.

Assists students with personal care requirements.

Prepare reports (e.g. incident reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reference for follow-up actions.

Reports observations and incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, violations of campus rules, etc.) to appropriate school personnel.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Support Services.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month, Full Time Position, beginning salary Grade 2 on the Classified Salary Schedule. Employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
