Supervises: Assist in the oversight of the District Operations Division
Primary Purpose: To assist the Chief of Operations and Executive Director of Operations in the oversight of the District Operations Division. Direct oversight responsibilities are in the areas of school nutrition, transportation, custodial services, and energy management.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
· Bachelor’s degree required
Special Knowledge Skills:
· Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills and extensive experience in conflict resolution.
· Ability to interpret policy, procedures, building codes and laws as related to divisional responsibilities.
· Working knowledge of the principles of energy management and related systems.
· Understanding of ECISD demographics, school attendance zones, and related data and processes.
· Ability to disaggregate data as required in order to make recommendations in the operations of the district.
Experience:
· Three years’ experience in managing/supervising personnel
· Two years’ experience in school district operations
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
· Ensure that each Operations department is supportive of the instructional goals of the district.
· Establish and recommend priorities for school nutrition, transportation, custodial services, and energy management.
· Ensure all departments and programs are cost effective and funds are managed prudently.
· Compile budgets and cost estimates based on documented program needs.
· Examine school district facilities on a regular basis to assess the need for improvements.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Assist in the supervision of Operations staff with specific oversight responsibilities in the areas of school nutrition, transportation, custodial services, and energy management.
