SUBSTITUTE - COOKS
Job Title: Substitute Cook/Assistant Cook Reports to: Food Services Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED;
- Preferred previous experience with large scale cooking and food preparation/serving;
- Fingerprint background check is required;
- Must pass a criminal background check that meets required state, federal, and Clarkston School District standards;
- Must have, or be able to obtain, current valid CPR/First aid certificate
- Safe Schools Training is REQUIRED, and needs to be completed BEFORE start date
Job Description:
- Under supervision, perform varied semi-skilled food service tasks, to include but not limited to: food preparation, cooking, setup serving lines and salad bars, clean up kitchen area, wash dishes, carry garbage to dumpsters
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment
- Requires standing, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Requires simple math including adding, subtracting, multiplication and division
- Follow standardized recipes and menus
- Other duties as assigned by Food Services Manager
