Junior High Coach
Job Description
JOB GOAL:
Position is responsible for coaching junior high student athletes, organizing practices, teaching skill development, game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Must possess some knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
- Must be able to meet coaching requirements of the North Dakota High School Activities Association.
- Prior coaching experience preferred, but not required.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach fundamental sport skills and game strategies.
- Instruct players in the rules, regulations, and technique of sport.
- Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities.
- Emphasize good sportsmanship and appropriate sports participant behaviors.
- Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
- Models appropriate behavior towards players, officials and spectators.
- Provide a supportive environment during practices and games.
- Keep track of athletic equipment and uniforms issued to your team.
- Follow district transportation policies.
- Prepare facilities for all home games.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Activities Director.

- Athletic Director
- Building Principal
- Superintendent
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position constitutes an employee at will for the Stanley Community Public School District.

WAGES AND BENEFITS:
- Wages based on Stanley Public School District Extracurricular policy.
