  • Seeking (1) one Daytime Maintenance/Custodian for Chino Valley Unified School District.  This is a full-time position with benefits.  The Chino Valley Unified School District is on a 4-day work week Monday through Thursday.  

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Director                          FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

  • This position involves the performance of manual labor, primarily in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Cleans district offices, classrooms, sidewalks and other areas; sweeps, dusts, mops, vacuums, waxes and polishes floors.
  • Reports safety hazards and need for repairs.
  • Performs some ground duties such as mowing, trimming, planting and watering.
  • Perform some maintenance such as changing out lights and minor plumbing
  • Assist maintenance team on renovations and projects
  • Strives constantly to promote the safety, health, and comfort of the students and employees.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Ability to do considerable physical activities in varied areas
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to climb and work at ladder heights not greater than 30’.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs is required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card through DPS.

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

  • One-year experience in custodial settings.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
